🤾‍♀️ 3 tips to nail your lobs

Excited to welcome back Tanner Tomassi of Tanner Pickleball, for this week’s Level Up.

Hey Pickleheads readers,

Here’s three things to keep in mind when you go to lob your opponents!

#1 Target your opponent’s backhand side

If you aim for your opponent’s dominant side, you’re giving them an easy forehand.

When you aim for their backhand side, they’ll have to stretch and their backhand is always going to be a weaker shot.

#2 Disguise your lob as a dink

A lob always works better when your opponent thinks you’re about to dink.

So, before you attempt a lob, keep your forearm set up as if you’re about to dink.

Then, rather than using backswing, follow through the ball with your paddle to your shoulder.

#3 Don’t leave the kitchen line

What if you’ve attempted your lob and your opponent gets it back? Don’t fall back!

Stand strong at the kitchen line to put the returned ball away 💪
