🎧 The rise of pickleball

🌍 Pickleheads is going global with the GPF!

Global Pickleball Federation image

Starting off with some exciting news…

Pickleheads is now the official court & game finder of the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF)!

And together, we’re making Pickleheads the world’s first international court & game finder.

What does this mean for you?

Courts all over the world will soon be at your fingertips.

A beach vacation to Mexico…

Adventuring through Costa Rica…

That dream trip to Australia…

Well, pack your paddle because you’ll be able to use Pickleheads to find play anywhere.

Now you can already use Pickleheads to find courts in 112 countries… but through this partnership, we’ll be adding a lot more places to play, focused on GPF’s 52 member nations.

This means helping players all over the world– Egypt, Kenya, Japan, Poland to name a few – discover this amazing sport.

GPF’s mission is “Pickleball for the World”. And we couldn't be more excited about working towards that shared goal 🙌

If you want to follow along and see all the amazing courts popping up all over the world (like our Dream Court this week…), follow the GPF on Instagram 👇

The paddle I’ve been waiting all year for!

Pickleball Apes Pulse image

The brand new Pulse line from Pickleball Apes launched today!

And they are beautiful. Well done with the purple design 👏

I got my hands on a Pulse S (hybrid) and put it to the test:

Touch and feel. Check.

It’s marketed as a control paddle, and that’s exactly how it plays.

This is one of the few paddles where hitting drop shots feels easy.

So if you’re looking to learn or improve your 3rd shot drop, give the Pulse a look.

And if you need help staying in long dink rallies, this paddle is also for you.

Now, it’s not for the big power players, but that’s okay – I think most rec players will win more with a touch paddle like this.

You can grab any new Pulse model – elongated (E), hybrid (S), square (V) – for $179.99 after my deal. Our code PICKLEHEADS is auto-applied with the link below.

I’m always happy to support a small business doing great things in pickleball. Enjoy!

Level Up image

🤾‍♀️ Aim your 3rd shot drops HERE!

Excited to welcome back Tanner Tomassi of Tanner Pickleball, for this week’s Level Up.

Hey Pickleheads readers,

Wanna know the best place to aim your 3rd shot drops?

It’s right in the middle of the court. Pretend there’s a hoop where the center court line meets the kitchen line and aim for it!

Level Up GIF

Why? Because you take away angles from your opponent. When you hit the middle of the court, your opponents can only speed up down the middle or back at you.

They can’t speed up out wide, or the ball could go out.

And because you know this, you can predict where they’re going to hit the ball back. Ether down the middle, or at you!

If you hit your drops to the corners, your opponents have way more options. They can go down the line through the middle, or worse, cross-court. That’s a lot of options to cover.

Over the next few weeks, try hitting your third-shot drops to the middle, and you’ll remove offensive options from your opponents.

Hope this helps.
