How I prevent pickleball injuriesā¦
Itās been a rough year for meā¦
Shoulder tear. Pickleball elbow. Iāve been sidelined for months at a time.
And after many visits to orthos and PTās Iāll tell youā¦.
Prehab beats rehab.
So thatās why I was stoked to try out the Body Activation Kit (BAK PAK+) from yobow.
Itās a full kit of warm-up gear, some I was already using daily and some cool new ones:
Mini massage pistol (always my favorite)
Bands to warm up shoulders and hips
āFlex wedgesā to stretch calves and prevent achilles tears (OUCH)
Neat activation ball for wrists and shoulders, great forehand motion warm up
Iād been using cheap bands and massage guns from Amazon all year but these were a cut above.
I actually switched to using many of the yobow items for my daily warm up routine.
And considering a brand name mini massage gun (Theragun) goes for $199 alone, to get all this for $179.99 Iād say is a really good value.
And itās even better when you can get an extra 10% off with code PICKLEHEADS.
Especially if it keeps you from a visit to the orthopedistā¦

š¤¾āāļø At the kitchen? Anchor your foot
Iām pumped to welcome back Zane Navratil, one of the top pickleball pros in the world, for this weekās Level Up!
Hey Pickleheads readers,
Ever feel like youāre scrambling around the kitchen line like a headless chicken, trying to keep up with dinks?
Hereās a game-changer for you: the Anchor Foot Strategy.
The faster you can return to your ready position at the kitchen line, the more time youāve got to react to your opponentās next move. That means more control over each point.
Hereās how it works:
Anchor your foot: When a dink comes to your left side, plant your right foot and step over with your left to return it. Then, slide right back to your ready position.
Mirror it for the right side: If the ballās coming at your right, anchor your left foot, step over with your right, and get back to center.
With the Anchor Foot Strategy, youāll know exactly where you are on the court, react faster, and control more points.
This simple, smart footwork will keep you grounded at the kitchen lineāand one step ahead of your opponent.

Arizona Athletic Grounds, Mesa, AZ
This weekās dream court is Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, AZ!
We couldnāt not mention these courts this week as the Arizona Athletic Grounds is hosting the 2024 USA Pickleball National Championships from November 9-17.
Itās got everything a player could wantā41 outdoor courts, a stadium court with seating for 2,500, and four medal courts with spectator stands!
I was just there this past weekend hosting a round robin (on Pickleheads of course!) for visiting members from the Global Pickleball Federation. The site is amazing, you gotta see it for yourself!
