😲 Even Bobby Riggs isn’t safe?

The Bobby Riggs Racket & Paddle Club in Encinitas—one of SoCal’s most iconic pickleball hubs—is in hot water over, you guessed it, noise complaints.

A judge just ruled the club violated city code, putting its future at risk. You’d think a place with this much pickleball history would be safe from these kinds of battles, but apparently not.

They’ve even been forced to reduce its number of active courts from 22 to just 7!!!

Some locals want the noise shut down, while others argue that pickleball belongs here. Now, officials have to decide what happens next.

But there may be a way forward—proposals are on the table to cover courts for indoor play or mandate quiet paddles to keep the game going.

The real question: if a legendary spot like Bobby Riggs is under fire, could other clubs be next? Or will the pickleball community fight back?
