New on Pickleheads - payments, group features and round robin updates
Payments is now open to anyone! Groups and round robins also got a major upgrade.
Hi there,
It's Max, one of the founders here at Pickleheads.
Today, we released a new version of the website and mobile app that features payment collection, new group features and improvements to our round robin formats!
Here are some of my favorite features from this release:
By the way, you can have a say in what we build next. Take a moment to submit a feature request. 🙂
💰️ Payments is available to everyone!
You can now collect payments on Pickleheads!
No more chasing down money or keeping track of who has paid.
Players can pay with card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. They won’t be added to the session until they’ve successfully paid.
To get started, visit your Payment Settings to set up or connect your Stripe account.

🖐️ New invite options for groups
You can now invite your entire group to a session or just the players at a specific skill level.
For DUPR sessions, you can even invite players by DUPR rating.
If your session is private, only the players in your group who were invited will be able to sign up.

⚠️ Players are now required to add a skill level to join your group
Having every player’s skill level is critical for sending invites to the right players.
Starting today, players must enter a skill level rating in order to join a group. If a player doesn’t know their rating, we help them estimate.
Coming in the next release: organizers will be able to set a rating for any existing unrated players in the group!

🔥 Upgrades to Gauntlet and Up & Down the River
Gauntlet 2.0 is here!
You’ll now see more gradual player movement round-to-round. Give it a try and let us know what you think.
With Up & Down the River, we’ve shifted from putting the groups of 5 at the bottom to the top. We’ve also fixed a few bugs with scoring and player movement.

🛠️ Tons of other fixes and improvements
Thanks to feedback from our community, we’ve made dozens of other fixes and improvements.
