🔄 New round robin formats to shake things up

One of the coolest parts of building Pickleheads is seeing the creative ways you run your sessions. Inspired by your feedback, we’ve been working on a few new formats to help you keep things fresh!

Today, they’re ready to go – and you’re the first to hear about them.

In the new product update, we’re launching two new formats and major improvements to a popular one:

🌀 Mixed Madness

Pure chaos—in the best way. Each round throws out random mixed doubles matchups, so everyone gets equal court time and fresh partners.

🔁 Double Header

Play 2 games with every player on your court. If it’s a split, flip on the rubber match and settle it. Each round cranks out 6–9 games—perfect for 2-hour sessions.

✌️ Multiple Rounds of Pool Play

Our fixed-partner mini-tournament format is already a big hit. With today’s update, you can now stack multiple rounds of pool play before heading to the championship bracket.

🏆 Standalone brackets

If you don’t want to run pool play first, you can now jump straight into a bracket. We support up to 32 teams and consolation brackets.

And yes—everything you already love about the round robin tool works with these formats:

• 🧠 Optimize court usage + manage no-shows
