If you’re not using the Three T’s of pickleball serve return, you’re losing points!

#1 Target

For each serve you face, picking the right target to place your return is the easiest way to increase your consistency.

#2 Technique

First and foremost, you want a compact swing as our opponent already gives us a lot of power to work with on the serve.

We’re simply going to use their power to hit that ball nice and deep back to them.

Depth is your main objective on service returns.

#3 Timing

A key objective with your return is to get to the kitchen as quickly as possible.

For you to get to the kitchen in the most timely and efficient way, you actually need to back up a little.

Then, rather than planting your feet as you hit your return, hit through the shot, using your momentum to carry you towards the kitchen quicker.
