🌍 OPERATION PaddleLift™ takes flight

Malawian pickleball players

We’re proud to share that Pickleheads is playing a lead role in OPERATION PaddleLift™ — the world’s first crowdfunding campaign to bring pickleball gear to communities that need it most.

Launched by the Global Pickleball Federation and Pickleball for Good™, this initiative tackles the shipping, customs, and cost barriers that prevent paddles, nets, and balls from reaching players in developing regions.

To kick things off, we’ve donated 100 brand-new paddles that will be sent to GPF members in Argentina, Oman, Ukraine, and Malawi — helping players across the world experience the game we all love.

👀 Pickleball-related eye injuries are on the rise in the US

Older players (50+) are most affected. And the most common injuries include cuts around the eye, corneal scratches, black eyes, and more severe cases like retinal detachment or orbital fractures.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology is calling for protective eyewear, but it’s still not required or promoted by major pickleball organizations.
