😲 An overhead backhand for the win

This week’s epic point comes from subscriber Moses Das – and it’s a beauty.

After a flurry of exchanges, Moses seals it with an overhead backhanded flick that catches everyone off guard.

Smooth, sneaky, and the perfect way to end the point.

🏙 Pickleball takes over Grand Central

Last weekend (August 8–10), Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal was transformed into the stage for something you never expected: regulation pickleball under Beaux-Arts arches. And it was totally free.

As part of National Pickleball Day (and the sport’s 60th birthday), CityPickle, in partnership with Major League Pickleball and sponsored by DoorDash, set up the first-ever pickleball court inside Grand Central. Clinics, open play, and paddles were all provided, and every clinic slot sold out within 30 minutes of opening.

A live hit was even captured on Fox & Friends, featuring Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, pro Zane Navratil, and Genie Bouchard rallying right beneath the painted skyline ceiling.

Turns out, pickleball works just fine in a train station. And for a sport that’s all about bringing people together, Grand Central was the perfect stop.
