🎬 Pickleheads… the movie!!!

It was probably inevitable, but it’s finally happened. A full-on pickleball sports comedy just dropped its first trailer, and it’s even called Pickleheads.

No relation to us. We checked. 😄

The film premiered at the Austin Film Festival and follows a disgraced ping pong star trying to rebuild his reputation through pickleball, a sport the movie lovingly refers to as “America’s fastest-growing nightmare.” Expect over-the-top characters, court drama, angry neighbors, tennis players who are very done with pickleball noise, and plenty of familiar rec-court chaos.

Is it a little ridiculous? Absolutely. But that’s kind of the point. Pickleball is fun, social, and occasionally absurd, and this movie seems happy to lean into all of it.

There’s even more on the way, with another pickleball comedy produced by Ben Stiller set to land later this year. Apparently, the pickleball cinematic universe is officially a thing.

Honestly? We’re here for it.
