If you needed a sign that the holiday season is officially here, this is it. Lifetime just dropped the trailer for “A Pickleball Christmas”, a full-on holiday rom-com built around our favorite sport.

Pickleball has officially entered the cozy-movie multiverse.

The plot follows a former tennis pro who heads home for the holidays and discovers his family’s racquet club is in trouble. His last-minute solution? Enter a pickleball tournament and try to save the place while sorting out his love life. Classic holiday arc, but with kitchen lines and third shots sprinkled in.

👏 Players break world record after 48-hour match over Thanksgiving

Over Thanksgiving weekend, a group of pickleball players from Susquehanna Valley broke the world record by playing pickleball for 48 hours.

Hosted by Ace Pickleball Club in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, the athletes surpassed the previous record of 36 hours.

The city of Boise, after closing several courts this year, wants to expand its pickleball offerings.

Currently, 16% of Boise’s outdoor racket playing courts at city parks are dedicated to pickleball. By 2031, they have a target of 40% pure pickleball.
